The Pressure Compression Bulkhead will allow the pipe to pass straight through the middle of the fitting and is sealed with a tapered seal and lock nut, you can then simply connect to the pipe. 

The tank connector also comes with a rubber washer, slip washer and a flat nut to seal to the tank or similar.
